Heat intolerance is a prevalent and debilitating symptom for 60 to 80% of people with MS.  As temperatures rise, affected individuals often experience a temporary worsening of symptoms that can significantly disrupt daily activities and diminish overall quality of life.  Triggers include warm weather, hot showers, fevers, exercise and even heavy meals.  While there is no drug treatment available for heat intolerance, several effective and simple cooling strategies can help manage its impact.          Read more…
