Alan has worked for 17 years as a professional in the medical device industry. He has been a member of several startup companies in the specialties of image guided surgery, radiation oncology, ENT surgery and more recently interventional cardiology, focusing on marketing and business development. Two of these companies were acquired by industry leading firms. He is also an experienced aerospace engineer having worked for 10 years at Lincoln Laboratory where he conducted high energy testing for NASA and the Dept. of Defense. Starting in high school, Alan has had a passion for visual production and turned that passion into aljan multimedia, a video production company that focused on creating high impact marketing and training videos for early stage organizations. In 2001, Alan founded Core Connections, an MS support group for those newly diagnosed. In 2012, Core Connections expanded beyond its once a month meeting into an online social media platform that includes interactive, topic specific forums, videotaped support group sessions and the ability for members to share their own MS experience through video uploads and peer to peer communication. Alan is sincerely grateful for the support of family and friends as he continues to work on projects that have the potential to positively impact many and remains humbled by the privilege of being able to raise his two sons, Evan and Josh with his amazing wife Janet.
