Ask MSNews

Our new poll wants to know: What was your exposure to animals growing up?

Our last poll on hair color turned up in interesting discrepancy - we seem to have 2-3 times as many people with red hair reading MSNews than the general population.

Our latest poll asks: What is your natural hair color?

A recent study showed that red heads were more likely to avoid sun exposure, possibly impacting vitamin D levels.

Our last poll found that almost half of MSNews readers only take 1-2 drugs for their MS, with another third taking 3-5.

Over the years I've seen various reports like this one that claims a particular drug causes MS in the person who takes it. While this is a terrible side effect, couldn't we use this information to create better animal models and understand what might be going wrong to cause the disease in those of us who got it naturally?

MSNews wants to know how many medications you're taking for your MS. Take our latest poll and let us know.

Our last poll - How satisfied are you with your MS doctor? - gave much more positive results than I had expected, given all the complaints I hear from people in person.

Our latest poll asks: How satisfied are you with your MS doctor? Leave a comment sharing your reasons for your answer.

Our last poll asked whether you were a type A or type B personality. The results were 57% answering Type A, 43% Type B. While I couldn't find any stats on the general public, I would imagine this is a bit high on the Type A side. But Type A's are probably more likely to be on the net researching MS, so there is probably some selection bias.

Hi Everyone, My partner was dioganised with MS at xmas 2007. I was just wondering if any of you have samll children and what you tell them? We have two young kids and its hard to know what to tell them and how to tell them so they understand, especially on bad days. (which is very regular)
Thank you

Today we are asking: Are you type A or type B personality? You can let us know here.

Our last poll, 'Has having MS in your life (you or loved one) had any positive influence?', produced a surprising (to me) result of 45% of responders having no positive influence.

Our latest poll, "Has having MS in your life (you or loved one) had any positive influence?", wants to know what good has come of your exposure to MS, if any. After voting, leave a comment on the poll explaining your answer.

Our previous poll found that the top 3 symptoms MSNews readers would like cured are (in this order): Mobility/Dexterity, Fatigue/Heat Sensitivity, and Cognitive/Emotional.

Hello, my partner was diagnosed just under 4 months ago with MS. I just wanted to know if there are any career or support people that come on line? I'd love ideas and help on the support you give your loved ones.
Thank you

Our latest poll wants to know which single symptom of MS would you cure if you could cure only one.

Our last poll on how you were birthed produced one of our biggest responses to date - both in number of votes and number of comments. We had 41% with natural birth, 38% with drugs, and equal numbers of induced, cesarean, and don't know all at 7% each.
