Tax Credits for Hiring People with Disabilities

The Social Security Administration will soon be able to provide tax credits to employers who hire people who are currently receiving SSI or SSDI benefits according to this article on the NMSS site. The program is called Ticket to Hire and there is a referral program available.

if they are serious about assuring health coverage no matter what then they should nationalize healthcare.

ssdi roles would evaporate overnight.

for many loss of coverage is essentially a death sentence.

for many, obtaining ssdi is like a trip through a kafka novel.

lessee. trust the gov to exercise rational judgement should i need to get back into the system???

real tough call there.

Ah, but then you also have to read all the stories about having MS and NHS from Canada and the UK. They'll just decide that any treatment you want is not available under NHS. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
got a point there. but few of the canadiens on asms are actually having such problems.

like you said. damned either way. but the canadien system by most reports on asms from those in it works pretty well.

canada unfortunatly has it's own version of our heritage foundation pumping white paper after white paper full of outright lies about their healthcare system.

that flood of industry crap gets a lot of ink in the press. unfortunatly that means much of what we hear from them is funded by the drug companies who are being forced to charge somewhat reasonable prices up there.

unless i'm mistaken they have a pretty amazing system for managing ms in that population.

we throw way too much of our healthcare money into corporate orffices and insurance company marketing.

it may be that the stories you are reading art are lies.

I'm sure much of what I read is inaccurate. I'm mostly basing my assessment of NHS on the UK system from anecdotal stories. My parents are both from the UK and thus most of my relatives are. They share their wonderful NHS stories with me. I got to experience one of them for myself. I can't say I've seen it be a good experience in the limited serious hospitalizations in my family.
sorry to hear that art.
that's something to think about.

i'll take another look at this.
