The Ballots are in - Medical Marijuana Wins
Here are the town by town ballot results for the Maujuana questions in MA.
Voters in 19 State House districts were asked whether their state representative should be instructed to vote in favor of legislation making possesion of marijuana a civil, rather than a criminal, violation. Every town that voted wants to decriminalize possesion.
Voters in the 14th Worcester District were asked whether their state representative should be instructed to vote in favor of legislation that would allow patients with certain diseases to grow and possess a small amount of marijuana for personal use if they have written permission from a doctor. All towns voted YES!
And Voters in the 2nd Franklin District were asked whether their state representative should be instructed to vote in favor of legislation that would allow licensed farmers in Massachusetts to grow cannabis hemp (a crop containing one percent or less THC, the active ingredient in marijuana) for legitimate agricultural and industrial purposes. They voted Yes.
The people have spoken. Let's see if the government listens.
