Vibration study in MS

This is an odd trial (in my opinion) - they are having people with MS stand on a vibrating platform as a "treatment". Personally, I don't need a vibrating platform to feel like I'm vibrating, my MS does that for me naturally. Apparently people who had lost sensation in their legs and feet got some feeling back after treatment, though.

The trial was in New Zealand, but I'm guessing you could test out this theory on yourself by going to a local Brookstone at the mall and putting your feet on any one of the many massage products they have on display.

After six months of using one of these machines I have noticed a great immprovement in circulation, flexibility and muscle growth (my thighs and calves were getting very skinny from lack of use). Wouldn't be without it now I've tried one!

I have also heard of good results with TurboSonic Vibration Therapy. I have the information on the vibration trainer but I cannot afford the $12,995.00 cost for the machine. I've reseached the vibration therapy for MS and it has helped many not only with weakness from MS, but helped those with degenerative disease conditions, accelerated aging, and all diminished capacities ultimately attributed to insufficient cellular stimulation. Vibration Therapy provides safe, effective way to excity human cells. This new technology accelerated the body's natural healing response, increases cellular oxygen uptake, and facilitates cellular waste removal. Whole body vibration can rehabilitate, revitalize and rejuvenate your body. It improved lymph and blood circulation to promote more rapid recovery and gives you more strength and vitality.

Costco has a proform vibration exercise machine for $399.99. I couldn't find it anywhere else, on the internet, for less than $700.

After my first major attack, I was left with sensory problems in all four limbs. Pain and hypersensitivity dominated my body. I bought a recliner that has heat and massage in the back and the seat. I have just about LIVED in that chair since then. I wore out the two motors within the first year and have no problem paying $15 to put new ones on if needed! When I'm hurting and no amount of pain meds help, I can get into my chair and find relief. The pain management doctor explained to me that I'm using external stimuli to override the pain signals being sent throughout my body.
