More Blood-Clotting Proteins Implicated in MS

A new report of a couple of proteins related to blood clotting found to be involved in MS brains has come out of Stanford. The protein tissue factor, which is involved in the coagulation of blood, and protein C inhibitor, which blocks the anticoagulant protein C were noted from an array of many proteins.

What wasn't noted was the fact that another clotting protein, fibrinogen, had been noticed about a year ago by UCSD researchers looking at EAE, an mouse model used in MS research. Hmmm...
