Smoking Pot Without Smoking It

Medicinal use of marijuana has seen some success in trials for pain and spasticity in MS. Medications made from pot derivatives don't seem to be as good, but one of the problems with smoking it is the "smoking" part. While no harms have been found in many large-scale studies of smoking pot, the anti-cigarette campaigns have left people leery of anything that needs to be smoked.

These researchers are looking at a tool used by pot heads to smoke "herbs" (according to the ads) without the smoke - the Volcano vaporizer. Good luck getting insurance to pay for that one!

Yep, knew some guys in college who played around with vaporizers, humidifiers, nebulizers, etc. to create various fashions of "power bong" ... I cannot believe it took 30 years for someone to make a real product around this idea???

PureTHC have been making them since 1996 - only eleven years but they've got some decent models. Their MiniBlue is good, more affordable and perfect for travelling.

A cheaper way to consume the THC from pot without smoking is to melt butter in a saucepan, leave the pot to soke in it for half an hour (keep heated to keep the butter from thickening). Then filter out the pot. Now the THC is in the butter, which you can use to bake anything you like.

I am not very optimistic about this smoking without "smoke" method, in fact I don't really agree with medical use for marijuana and that's because I know it can be an dangerous addictive drugs. People with serious health conditions can be easily be exposed to higher risks when using medical marijuana. I know they are under a close medical supervision, but once they become more independent, the doctor cannot control the patient's will for smoking pot. That's why I am worried about.

While an addictive sort of person may become "addicted" to marijuana, it is far less likely than many other "legal" drugs. In fact, marijuana is one of the only substances regularly consumed by humans that has never had a recorded death due to its ingestion!

Thus, from your argument, we should be far more fearful of aspirin, which kills a number of people annually. Here's just one set of stats you can easily find on the web.

Here's a good view on addiction.
