First of all, I presume we're speaking of D3 (cholecalciferol)?

Anybody have thoughts on supplementation strategy? Today's RDA is 400 IU, but I heard that even FDA knows this is low and may support raising it - perhaps to 1000 IU.

Many MSers take 2000 IU or more, without obvious short term ill effect.

Thoughts?

Interesting that I have been on 2200 IU of D3 for 19 months and my Vitamin D levels are still below 30. Testing of Vitamin D levels needs to be part of every MSers blood draws.

What brand of Vit. D are you taking. I take a Vit. D that requires you to put 1 drop on your finger. It is hard to tell if I'm getting the right dose. What do you take?

On my last visit with the nuero, he emphasized to me to take 1000 iu od D and calcium.
