MSNews Lesson #3: Searching for old stories
Submitted by art on Mon, 2007-02-12 07:14.
MSNews has been in existence for almost five years. All the old stories are there and it makes a great database for looking up information about MS. There are a number of ways you can do this:
continued...
- Search Box: On the right of every page is a search
box. Enter any term or terms that are 3 or more letters and press the
search button. - Advanced Search: If you want some more options when
searching, you can enter nothing in the search box and press
search. This will take you to a page that has an "Advanced Search"
section. Just click on that link and you will be given additional
search options such as search by Topic, sort-by options, negative
searches, etc. You will also have these options after performing a
search the regular way. - Topic Filter: If you click on the graphic icon attached
to any story, it will bring up a list of all stories with that topic. - By Specific Date: If you want to see what stories were
published on a specific date, you can go to
msnews.acceleratedcure.org/editions/ where is in the form
YYYYMMDD, e.g. to get stories from Dec. 22, 2006 you would go to msnews.acceleratedcure.org/editions/20061222
Keep in mind that many of the links posted in stories point to news
sites that don't always save all their content, so the links may not
work. You can usually take the description in the story and use the
content to search with Google or some other search engine to find a
copy of the original article.

help with changing health provider
Hi, I'm changing jobs and need to switch my health benefits to my spouse's plan. I'm worried that my pre-existing MS condition may raise red flags at my spouse's employment. Does anyone know what the process is like for people diagnosed with MS switching health plans, and whether or not I should plan to encounter many questions and roadblocks to processing this new health coverage? thanks for the help.
