Vitiamin treatment may be neuroprotective

Ian & Art write "A team from the Children's Hospital Boston claims that a vitamin could protect axons in MS patients.

Researchers cut the risk of nerve degeneration in mice with MS-type symptoms by giving them an injected form of vitamin B3 called nicotinamide."

Don't know what was in the syringe but I went to a doctor who thought b-12 shots were the cats meow..also lined his wallet with money. I want to see more data before i would go on a b-3 binge.Whats the score on medicare drug benefit covering Tysabri?
If it protects mice with EAE, should it not be tried in other models withe animals who have a short span, followed by toxicity studies, and finally a maximum daily dose announced, so we can all start using it, if it's any good? In the shortest order possible? Or is too much money tied up in the MS industry?

I'm tired of progression. And all the exercise I can do doesn't affect it.
