Regenerative Mice Heal Spinal Injury

This is a really interesting story which may have relevance to MS.
The problem with accuratley assessing effectiveness of new drugs may lie not in the drugs themselves working or not, but in the subjects of the tests and the models of disease. these mice are showing signs of spontaneous recovery from holes punched in their ears, heart and spinal damage. The mice in question were being used for immunological tests when the unusual behaviour was noticed.
On the bright side, maybe they might provide a link to repair of damaged tissue?
