MS cause: foreign substances carried by wind?

We all know strong winds exacerbate MS. Recently PBS showed a story of carribean children having massive asthma attacks caused, what finally was discovered, by dust blown from Sahara(thousand miles away.) The dust carried microorganisms causing asthma.

Is this all what the dust carries?

Would somebody knowledgeable check winds blowing in US?

Like the persecution of Salem witches was caused by rye fungus, may be an alien organisms carried by wind causes MS?

I thought you were off your rocker in saying that strong winds may be linked to excacerbations. Then I read the comment above about March and August. In the past 2 years, my lowest points have been in February/March and October/November. I am just getting over a period where I just felt like crap. I tried various allergy medicines but they never helped. I need to research this phenomena.

I had never heard of MS exacerbations and winds being linked, but I do know that my own MS gets worse in March and August when the allergy seasons hit. It's interesting to hear about something being carried that far by the winds. Generally we are worrying about pathogens borne by air travellers - this is a whole new definition of "air traveller."
I do believe the wind as a natural force plays a role in virus contagion. Beyond that I don't feel competent to comment further. Jayne
