Exercise Good for MS patients

Bucking conventional wisdom, researchers in Melbourne, Australia have found that exercise (including weight training) can have significant benefits for patients with multiple sclerosis. Read all about it here. art: I can personally vouch for this finding - eating right and exercising has had more impact than anything else on my disease.

When I don't run (3-5 miles a day!), my bladder will shut down to the point where I need a cath after about 2 weeks. I can't stop!
Currently there is a trial exercise program in the US which uses an exercise machine specifically designed for people with MS. The trial is being supported by the U.S. Dept of Defense and the Veterans Admin. I have completed ten weeks of exercise - I feel fortunate to be in the study - my strength has increased multi-fold.
