The LDN Battle Wages On

Low Dose Naltrexone is a hot topic on MS discussion boards all over the world. We've reported on it a few times here. The NMSS has just published this statement discouraging people from trying it. While they make valid points about the generally bad idea of trying something based on anecdotal evidence, they back it up with claims that are also unproven (e.g. MS is an autoimmune disease - we don't know that to be the case) and fail to mention the fact that there is a current clinical trial for LDN going on for Crohns disease - a disease that often responds to similar compounds to ones that affect MS.
