>>> Research
Repository:
o 32 new subjects were enrolled last month (16 MS, 8 NMO, 2 TM, 6
controls) to result in a total of 1,504 subjects. Eight follow-up
visits were also conducted, giving a total of 39 now completed.

o Beth Israel Deaconess (Boston) and The Ohio State University each
enrolled their first subject!
o We sent 987 samples (636 MS, 351 control) to Dr. Julius Birnbaum at
Johns Hopkins University, and also sent follow-up data sets to two
of our sample users.
o We approved a new sample request from Dr. Alan Verkman of UCSF who
asked for NMO and control samples. We also received a new request for
samples from a group located in Germany.
o We received another data set from a project that used our samples
and questionnaire data. Dr. Phil De Jager analyzed our samples for
genes associated with the risk of MS or hypothesized to affect the
severity of the disease. This study is #8 in our list of supported
research:
http://www.acceleratedcure.org/repository/research.php

Foundation on sample collection activities.
