Repository:

o As of the end of November, we had enrolled 804 subjects from our six 
  sites.

o Sara, Hollie and Art attended a Biospecimen Best Practices Forum 
  hosted by the National Cancer Institute.

o The documents for bringing participants back in for longitudinal 
  (repeat) visits were approved by our central ethics board.

o We approved a request for samples made by scientists at the Mayo 
  Clinic studying genetic factors in NMO.

o Former Cure Map intern Ali Alhassani has been awarded a Marshall 
  Scholarship for 2008.

o Charity Navigator rated Accelerated Cure Project 4 out of 4 stars
  http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=10907

o The Transverse Myelitis Association presented Accelerated Cure
  Project with a $35,000 grant at the 2007 Annual Event on November
  17th in support of the MS Repository.  The donation is part of a
  partnership to further research into all demyelinating diseases (MS,
  TM, ADEM, and NMO).

o Accelerated Cure Project is pleased to announce a partnership with
  the Mary J. Szczepanski "Never Give Up" Scholarship Foundation
  through which eight $500 scholarships will be awarded to seniors at
  Michigan high schools for raising the most funds for Accelerated
  Cure Project during the 2007-2008 school year.  For more details

o We had a number of meetings with various people:
  - Sarah met with Marie Hansen, an MS Nurse and Patient Advocate to 
    discuss ways to reach out to the MS Community in the Bay Area.
  - Art and Sarah met with David Hultman, co-President of the Northern 
    California Chapter of the NMSS, to discuss ways the two organizations 
    can work together in the Bay Area.
  - Art and Sarah spoke at the MS Quality of Life Project support group 
    meeting in Monterey, CA.
  - Art met with Rusty from the Myelin Repair Foundation to talk about
    possible collaborations
  - Art met with people from Genentech to talk about working together.

Previous Events

o A big thank you to the volunteers and attendees of Accelerated Cure
  Project's first major event in San Francisco on Friday, November
  9th.

o November 17: Thank you to everyone who came to or volunteered with
  our 7th Accelerated Cure Project Annual Event to help the
  organization raise over $58,000!  The auction was our best yet, and
  Sandy Siegel and Dr. Timothy Vollmer's presentations were both
  educational and compelling. You can see the lectures on video here:

o November 29: Shoe Club members and Accelerated Cure Project
  supporters alike joined Hello Stiletto Shoe Club at Iridesse in
  Boston for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and shopping.  10% of
  purchases benefited Accelerated Cure Project.

o December 1: Congratulations to Mark Stotz for organizing the very
  successful Nonotuck Cyclocross Race to Cure MS in Easthampton, MA.
  The event raised $2,000.
