Boston Cure Project informal status since last reported on 2/4/02:

o Annual Report is almost done - final edits are being incorporated
  I'll announce when this is available on the web.

o We have been having some interesting meetings with geneticists over
  at the Whitehead Institute - more on this if it develops into
  anything substantial.

o We've added John Copeland (radiologist at the BI) to our Scientific
  Advisory Board and Ayad Abdul-Ahad (Berlex/Serono) to our
  Pharmaceutical Advisory Board. Their bios will be posted on the site
  as soon as I receive them.

o We submitted our executive summary entry for the MIT $50K contest
  that I mentioned we were going to enter last time. Details on the
  contest are at http://50k.mit.edu/

o We held our first volunteer orientation event at our offices. It was
  great to meet some of the people we have been talking to on the
  phone and via email. Pictures will be up on the web shortly.

o Rita has been helping us get our fundraising effort set up and
  going. We've been receiving a number of contributions and have
  secured one significant pledge already. Anyone who is interested in
  helping with our fundraising efforts is encouraged to contact me

o Brian Del Vecchio is once again making progress setting up the
  software that will run our MS news portal. Soon we'll be needing you
  all to send us any articles you find that might be of interest to
  the MS community.

o We continue to work on the Pathogen section of the Cure Map. Lot's
  of reading and talking to folks. Feel free to put us in touch with
  any infectious disease experts you may know!
