Dedham and Westborough, Mass - July 26, 2004 - An innovative new grassroots fundraising campaign was launched today by Blue Sky Collaborative for the Boston Cure Project, a Massachusetts based national nonprofit organization dedicated to curing Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The campaign is expected to raise over $100,000 for the Boston Cure Project in the next year, and to build a foundation for an ongoing grassroots fundraising and awareness building program.

MS is a debilitating disease that afflicts over 400,000 nation-wide. It has no known cure, and only limited treatments are available. The Boston Cure Project is working to determine the causes of MS and to use what they learn to develop a cure.

In the past 2 years, several Boston Cure Project supporters have already taken the first steps with their own fundraising efforts on behalf of the organization, raising more than $200K in 2003 alone. Blue Sky Collaborative is working with the Boston Cure Project to take grassroots fundraising to the next level of success by increasing the number of people involved, giving them the tools that they need to expand on success that they have had, and providing the Boston Cure Project with the infrastructure to sustain fundraising and awareness building networks.

Blue Sky Collaborative will provide supporters with one-on-one coaching as well as a comprehensive resource guide on how to put together a fundraising activity. Each supporter will also be able to take their efforts online by creating their own pages on a website dedicated to the campaign (expansion.bostoncure.org).
