Mass High Tech names 2005 Women to Watch

01/24/2005 09:08 AM
Mass High Tech has announced the honorees in the 2005 Women to Watch program, in which 10 New England-based women in fields from biotechnology to software are honored as future leaders and innovators.

“These women will shape the future of their industries, while serving as role models for young girls going into science and engineering,” said Mass High Tech Editor Jim Malone.

This year’s awardees are set to be honored at an event at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Ritz-Carlton Boston. To register for the event, go to www.masshightech.com/
wtwreg.asp, or call Kelley Crowley at 617-241-4352.

This year’s honorees were judged by their peers to possess demonstrated leadership abilities; the ability to think creatively and develop new opportunities with regard to business or the commercialization of technology; and have served in an active role as an inspiration to others or as a mentor. Awardees in academia have worked on research that has been, or soon will be, commercialized.
